Each year, we proudly partner with Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital to craft a whimsical and captivating identity for their annual Storybook Gala. The branding is a celebration of the spirit, resilience, and joy of the children and caregivers who inspire the event.

Background

10 Years of Impact

Since 2020, we’ve been honored to support Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital’s Storybook Gala—a signature fundraising event that combines elegance, entertainment, and philanthropy. The evening includes a cocktail reception, dinner, dancing, silent and live auctions, and a heartfelt “Fund-A-Wish” appeal.

Our journey begins by creating an identity that captures the “magical” essence of the featured storybook theme. From that foundation, we craft a seamless visual experience—signage, collateral, graphics, and more—that transports attendees into a world of imagination and wonder.

In 2025, the Storybook Gala will celebrate its 10th anniversary, having raised over $2.7 million to date. Each year, the event’s theme is inspired by a beloved children’s classic, with past themes such as Where the Wild Things Are, Alice in Wonderland, Mary Poppins and Peter Pan. Funds raised directly benefit critical programs and services for children receiving both inpatient and outpatient care, and help bridge the gap between insurance and out-of-pocket expenses.

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital (MWPH) has been a cornerstone of the Baltimore community since 1922. As a jointly-owned affiliate of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) and Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM), MWPH is unwavering in its commitment to maximizing the health, well-being, and independence of the children it serves. For over a century, the hospital has provided compassionate, family-centered, and integrated care to children with chronic or complex medical needs, making a lasting impact on countless families.

Results

Peter Pan: A Magical Adventure

In 2023, the Peter Pan theme whisked attendees away to Neverland, a world where growing up is optional and magic is everywhere. The event materials brought Peter Pan’s timeless adventures to life with sparkling fairy dust, signage inspired by Neverland, and graphics showcasing beloved characters like Tinker Bell and Nana. Every detail celebrated the joy of holding on to childhood wonder, echoing the evening’s themes of resilience, hope, and limitless possibility.
